FC Bayern Munich has extended its partnership with Deutsche Telekom, securing a new long-term agreement that will run until the summer of 2032. The telecommunications giant will remain the club’s main jersey sponsor and strategic partner, continuing one of the most iconic collaborations in European football.
A Partnership Built on Success
Deutsche Telekom has been on the front of Bayern’s shirts since 2002, becoming a familiar symbol of tradition, teamwork, and shared triumphs. With this renewal, the partnership will soon reach the milestone of 30 years, making it one of the longest-running deals in world football.
FC Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen highlighted the importance of the relationship:
“Deutsche Telekom has been a reliable partner of FC Bayern for 23 years. The ‘T’ on our chest symbolises tradition, team spirit and numerous shared titles. This partnership is one of the most enduring in the Bundesliga and a prime example of credibility in professional sport.”
More Than a Shirt Sponsor
This agreement goes far beyond the logo on the jersey. Together, Bayern and Telekom will focus on:
-Pioneering digital fan experiences and entertainment
-Driving innovation in telecommunications and technology
-Supporting youth football and eSports initiatives
-Expanding collaboration with FC Bayern Basketball
-Promoting important values through campaigns such as “No hate speech”, “Red against Racism”, and “Inclusion through Sport”
Stability and Growth
Financially, the new deal is a major boost for the club, reportedly worth around €60 million per year, an increase on the previous agreement. Bayern President Herbert Hainer emphasized the value of continuity:
“Stability is an absolute competitive advantage. Reliable partnerships lay the foundation for sustainable sporting and economic development. We’re heading towards 30 years side by side, that says it all.”
Looking Ahead
For Bayern, the renewal ensures long-term financial security and strengthens its ability to plan sustainably while remaining competitive at the highest level. For Deutsche Telekom, it reinforces the brand’s position as a leader in both sport and digital innovation.
Board member Rodrigo Diehl summed it up:
“The ‘T’ on the jersey stands for Telekom, Tore (goals) and technology. Our collaboration creates innovative fan experiences and strengthens the connection between sport and digitalisation.”
With the new agreement, Bayern Munich and Deutsche Telekom are not just continuing a partnership, they are setting the stage for the next chapter of shared success, innovation, and impact on and off the pitch.
